EUPHON SIROP FLACON
This cough medicine contains an opiate derivative (codeine) and a plant extract. Codeine blocks the cough reflex by acting directly on the brain.
It is use in the symptomatic treatment of dry coughs.
Therapeutic indication
It is recommend to calm dry coughs and irritant coughs.

Frequency of administration
This medication should only be administer at times when the cough occurs. For example, for a cough that only occurs in the evening, a single dose may be sufficient. If it is not effective, do not increase the doses beyond what is recommended, do not take another cough suppressant at the same time, but consult your doctor.
Dosage
The usual dosage is:
· Adult : 1 to 2 tablespoons or graduated measures (cup) (15 ml) of syrup per dose to be repeated after 6 hours if necessary without exceeding 4 doses per day.
· Children over 12 years old :
Use the graduated cup.
Children weighing 40 to 50 kg (approximately 12 to 15 years old): 1 graduated measure (cup) of 15 ml or 1 tablespoon per dose, to be repeated after 6 hours if necessary, without exceeding 4 doses per day.
Administration mode
Oral route.
The treatment should be short (a few days).
Symptoms and instructions for overdose
If you take more EUPHON, syrup than you should: ask your doctor for advice.
Instructions for missing one or more doses
If you forget to take EUPHON, syrup: resume treatment as prescribed.
Risk of withdrawal syndrome
Effects that may occur when treatment with EUPHON syrup is stop: none apart from the reappearance of the disorders that led to the prescription. EUPHON SIROP FLACON
Side effect
Description of side effects
Like all medicines, EUPHON, syrup can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
constipation,
drowsiness,
dizziness,
nausea, vomiting,
difficulty breathing,
allergic skin reactions.
This should not cause the treatment to be interrupted. You must inform your doctor so that he can adjust the dosage.
